Now, I can’t seem biased or anything, but Rachel Terry has been one of the people I’ve been looking forward to most for Currie Sessions, and I’m super excited to be blogging for her second video! Check out her second video Blue Eyes, Starry Skies, here:
Comments? Post em here, or at our Youtube page!
Hey guys, we’re so sorry for the dry spell of content! With the start of school for me, and the transition from Summer to Fall for the Curries’ store, we have been extremely busy getting everything organized. I’ve been bogged down with school and work, and I just haven’t been able to escape from that to plan out our future sessions. This is the same with the students who planned on being in our sessions!
Rachel Terry was scheduled a long time ago, but was unable to record with us on her planned day, but we squeezed her in, and I know that people have been really looking forward for her session.
So check out Rachel Terry’s original piece, called I Want To Paint You.
Since the school year has started, and guitar classes have as well…anyone interested in doing a session, contact us at curriestudiosessions@live.com!
Here we have the second of Mika’s what would have been three part series. His third video had some audio and technical issues, and sadly it was his original piece, so we weren’t able to have it queued for upload. ):
As bad as this may seem, it is also good for us…because it means he has to come and do another session with his originals!
So here you go, Part II of Mika’s series. Enjoy~
Dear God, I hope I spelt your last name right Mika~
Anyways! A new week, a new session~ From the heart of Orillia District Collegiate, we present to you Mika, covering Going Away To College by Blink 182. This is Part I of Mika’s series of sessions, so make sure you stay tuned, leave a comment, rate the video, do something to show your support!
And as always, if you’re interested in doing a session, email us at curriestudiosessions@live.com ~
Yes, THREE. David Pepper is easily becoming one of our most successful sessions, and luckily for us…I mean him…he has done three songs to promote his music and get more known in the world. Again, he performs another original piece, titled My Nicotine. Check him out, and hopefully we see a lot more of David in the future~

David Pepper’s second song of his session: Hurricane Streets by Hey Monday~
Ironically this song is featuring an introduction clip of the tornado that ripped through town – we thought that it suited the song. So enjoy~
David is a musician from the heart of Bracebridge, the neighbouring town to Gravenhurst. He’s performed at various outings, and may possibly be performing during the Fine Films event in September. Expect to see a lot of David, as his music is slowly growing popularity among fans in Bracebridge, and eventually the rest of the Muskoka area.
We’ve had a hectic few days in town. We had a tornado rip through, luckily the studio or any of our previous session’s performers were harmed.
After we recorded Yesterday’s Silhouette, we recorded these two. Andrew C is indeed one of the operators of Currie Studio Sessions, and was a member in the now extinct band The Regent Blue. The song they are performing here is one of Andrew’s favourites, and he is replaying it here with a couple of modifications, to bring you Missy Brown in a new beauty.
A good number of EP albums are being sold at the Curries’ Guitar Store in town now. It’s sweet to see local artists putting their CD out there, hoping for a shot at going somewhere in the music industry. These are the following CDs that can be picked up in store:
The City of Tiny Lights – EP, $5
Yesterday’s Silhouette – EP, $5
Ginger Graham – Single “A Thousand Words” – $5
Van Newell and the Bodenville Flyers – Full Album, $15
So come down, and support local artists by picking up a CD or two!
We heard of Mark, also known as Yesterday’s Silhouette, through a long time friend, and former session performer Jesse/A Simple Song For Autumn. He referred us to Mark, and after checking out his Myspace and talking to him a bit, we invited him in to do his own session.
We decided to go a little more out there, and set up lights and everything for this one. Sadly he only did one song, but hopefully he comes back and does some more.
You can check out his Myspace at:

He also has an EP out, so if you’re into him, buy it!
